100th Day of School

Our 100th day of school is upcoming. It will probably be on Feb.3rd if there are no snow days between now and then. The children are excited as I have planned some fun learning activities centered around the number 100.Your child will be asked to bring in a 100 collection of something small in a zip lock bag. Please help your child count these things out.A note will be sent home at the end of this week.

Reading

The students were introduced to the number words one to ten this week. Flashcards were sent home. These number words will be the focus for the next two weeks. Please practice these with your child nightly. Also, the children are learning winter theme poems and fingerplays. Ask your child to recite them for you.

Kindergarten has learned many poems and fingerplays. Ask your child to recite our poems for you. We have learned two poems for Thanksgiving ( Turkey Stew and Let's Eat ) along with There was a Little Turtle for letter t. Reciting these will help increase their memory skills along with building confidence.
